4 year old and 3 year old kindergarten is subsidised by the Victorian and Federal governments to allow all children the opportunity to attend a kindergarten. To enrol a child in our program, you must use the City of Whittlesea enrolment form. An information booklet and application form can be picked up from our kindergarten, or you can access the enrolment form through the Whittlesea website here.
To be eligible for 4 year old kindergarten, your child must turn 4 by 30 April in the year of kindergarten acceptance. To attend 3 year old kindergarten, your child must be 3 years old on their start date.
Applications are accepted from the first working day in March each year, for two years before the year of kindergarten attendance.
Applications close at 5.00pm on the last business day in June of the year before your child attends kindergarten. Applications submitted after this date will be accepted and processed later in the year.
Applications are processed as they are received, and placement offers made in order of application date. You will receive confirmation in writing of your child’s kindergarten placement from the City of Whittlesea, with offers sent out in July of the year before kindergarten attendance.
No Jab, No Play Legislation
‘No Jab, No Play’ is the name of legislation that requires all children to be fully vaccinated unless they have a medical exemption to be enrolled in childcare or kindergarten in Victoria. Click here for more information about the legislation (pdf).
